VCL 0.82 works perfect with a52/ac3 over s/dif
VCL 0.85 does not work with a52/ac3 over s/dif

it seems to be a problem with the new version

hello people,.

i lived with the same problem for a lomg time( audio stuttering in sp-dif.

What i tried was, first; change wave output, this didn't work. 2nd, download the drivers(mpeg2dec-0.4.1-cvs), and a hdtv pump, http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?skip=1, and this driverpackage, and it still didn't work.

i now had all the right tools but didn't know how to set therm all.

so i downloaded a hdtv 264 movie , played it, and it sett itself.

i hope u guys had any use of this info

Maniphesto

Install latest version

Run it

Settings --> Preferences --> (select advanced options) --> Audio --> Output modules --> Select 'Win32 Waveout extension output' from the drop down list labelled 'Audio Output Module' --> Save

Close VLC

Now try it.
Worked a treat.

Thanks.

Hello,

I'm using vlc from a laptop with vista to play an mkf video with 5.1 through the hdmi port. My receiver detects the dolby digital, but I was getting audio stuttering. I tried all combination of settings in the vlc audio menu with no luck.

I finally figured out that I needed to change the options under the vista hdmi playback menu. I selected all 3 sampling rates supported by my receiver (which is a Sony btw). I hope this helps someboday.

Best,
D
