VLCs H.264 decoder doesn't support hardware decoding and it doesn't support multicore decoding either.my 3.6ghz amd dual core cant handle a 28mb/s 1080p video with de-interlacing, despite me having an overclocked 4830
VLC doesn't use DirectShow. All DirectShow player work correctly (specially ones using EVR output). And issue can been seen with other players if the video output module is having a same issue.If it were a video card driver issue, why is VLC the only player affected?
