SPDIF doesn't work after 0.84a

After 0.8.4a SPDIF on Linux alsa doesn't work anymore. SPDIF is connected from the Terratec Aureon 7.1-Space using the ice1724 driver to the amplifier.

Tried 0.8.5, 0.8.6 and nightlies.

0.8.4a is working correctly!

Using Debian/unstable with Linux kernel 2.6.17.6 (using prestine kernel source) with alsa verion 1.0.11rc4 *build in the kernel*
