Jump back to menu after 60 seconds

Postby Guest60sec » 12 Jan 2006 18:43

Hello,

I made a DVD on which the sub-menus jump back to the main menu after 60 seconds of inactivity. Works with DVD Player, but not with VLC. Any solution for this issue?

thx,
joe

What did you use to compose the DVD, and what settings did you use to do this?

I used DVD Studio Pro 2.
In Property Inspector ->
Menu Start Point: 0, End Point: 1:00:00.
Time Out: 1sec. Action: Top Menu.

So actually it are 61 sec. ;-)

Could you let it run for a LONG time?
I have a suspicion that VLC has a wrong timescale, with this kind of system. So if the return occurs after 10 minutes for instance, I wouldn't be too surprised. If you could test this, i would welcome it.

Tested with an Adobe Encore DVD.
And you´re right, just wait for some time (a few minutes) and the end action should start....it just tooks longer than in the hardware DVD-Player.
