Hello,
I use VLC as a streaming solution to diffuse h264 vidéo.
First I use the 8.6c version installed on a RedHat 4 to encode the file in h264,and then stream the h264 file to a windows 2000 client. On the client side the same 8.6C version is used.
In this case, when the client connects after the server is launched, the client gets only the sound and we have the error message "waiting for SPS/PPS". I guess that means that the SPS and PPS parameters are only sent once at the beginning of the flow.
Then I try to encode the file in h264 with VLC 8.6c but diffuse it with an older version as VLC 8.1. I still use the 8.6c version on the client side.
In this case the SPS and PPS parameters are periodically sent and the video is displayed even if the client connects after the launch of the server.
Is this problem of the sent of SPS/PPS a bug of the VLC 8.6c streamer? And in this case will the future release of VLC handle periodic sent of SPS/PPS parameters?
Thanks!
