Audio Samplerate Transcoding Bug

Postby boilerjt » 07 Dec 2008 18:46

Has there been any progress with the issue of resampling audio in 0.9.x? I am seeing this issue when transcoding YouTube videos. The standard YouTube audio format is mp3 at 22050 Hz. My device will not play MP3 and does not support the 22050 samplerate, so I must transcode it to a wav and resample to either 32000, 44100, or 48000 Hz. When I try to resample to any of these values, the audio plays too fast. I do not see any issue when I use vlc 0.8.6 to do the same thing. I am using vlc in Linux.

I have seen numerous posts with audio resampling issues using various audio formats and I am assuming they are related to my issue.

Thanks,
John

Resampling is broken and there is nobody to fix it.
