building for Win32: works only once

Hi,
I must have overlooked something essential in J_B's guide: http://wiki.videolan.org/Win32CompileMSYSNew
I do everything as described in the above link until
PATH=/usr/win32/bin:$PATH make
Bootstrapping seems to work, configuring seems to work and even building the very first time on a virgin system seems to work.
But if I try to modify something and recompile I get stuck. I've tried many different this, without success, until in the end, I try to simply do a make, after a previous successful make.
No changes whatsoever. Just do twice:
PATH=/usr/win32/bin:$PATH make
I I try to make again the code I get errors in the qt4 part.

What am I doing wrong? Below is a dump of the make results

Native Windows builds rarely ever work properly. Cross-compiling from Linux is a hell of a lot more reliable.

Well,
I tried, but there I even could not get passed the bootstrap stuff.
It seems I got stuck at getting the crosscompiler operational.
I'm running OpenSuse 11.2.
I tried Other systems may attempt http://www.mingw.org/wiki/LinuxCrossMinGW
Which seem to work correctly. However, I have no clue if it installed correctly.

Anyway, the bootstrapping according below instructions, did not work.

Known issue with latest contribs. You have to clean /usr/win32/include/qt4 and reput the one from the qt4.6_win32.zip

extraintf rc does not start

Thanks a lot! this helped.

Unfortunately I have a new problem:
when I try
vlc.exe --extraintf rc

the GUI comes up and everything seems functional, but no extra remote control interface.

I assume I did something wrong when cofiguring for the build, but I have no clue where to start.

Any help?
