file names appearing on screen, how to avoid this?

I just upgraded from v.0.8.6i to v.0.9.8a, find it annoying that every time I play a video the name of the file being played appears on the screen for a few seconds (something that never happened with the old version). I'd like to know if there'd be a way to prevent this from happening, to keep the file name from appearing on screen like this.

In the preferences, select the All mode, go to Video and uncheck "Show media title on video".
