Obsolete Registry Keys

Postby madmetz » 01 Jul 2011 14:33

Hello VLCMP Team,

Everytime I clean up my computer's registry, I see the following three registry keys:
  • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\Media\VLC\InstallInfo]
  • "HideIconsCommand"="....\VLC\spad-setup.exe" /HideIcons /S
  • "ShowIconsCommand"="....\VLC\spad-setup.exe" /ShowIcons /S
  • "ReinstallCommand"="....\VLC\spad-setup.exe" /Reinstall /S
I guess they're obsolete because the file 'spad-setup.exe' doesn't exist anywhere on my hard drive.
Could you possibly remove these entries (if they are no longer used) :?:

Thanks ....

madmetz

....but if you have a look at the registry key you can see that it seems to be yours.
*** [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\Media\VLC\InstallInfo] ***
The complete path is: "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\spad-setup.exe" /HideIcons /S
These entries were written into the registry by vlc installer, right ?
