add to vlc's playlist not displaying

Postby Doublej » 01 Feb 2011 04:16

I reinstalled VLC player 1.1.5 as 1.1.6 didn't work with my computer's volume controls and now the add to vlc's playlist no longer displays when I right click.

During install I checked the context menu box so I think it should have installed it. Does anyone know how to get it back?

This is a Windows limitation, not a VLC one.

Hi juliosbis,
Could the following link help you to bypass the 15 selected files and choose an unlimited number of files ?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2022295

I like their sentence : "A value of 16 is interpreted as "unlimited"
And it applies to Windows 7 only

It would be great to by pass this limitation. Scince some software can do this, vlc can too. For example 7zip bypass the limitation

i created the new entrie in the registry, but it didn't fix my problem. Now the contextual menu appears well , but i can't use it as i want. Indeed with more than 15 files if i use the contextual menu it doesn't add all the files in the playlist but just one !
