VLC 1.0.2 does not work with .mov via http

Postby adanecito » 24 Sep 2009 17:39

Hi All,

I noticed with the 1.0.2 latest build that playing of .mov files does not work. What happens when the play button is clicked there is a brief flash and the player stays minimized and the video is not played. I am seeing this problem on almost every .mov file I try. The same urls work fine in Apple's Quicktime player. Here are two example urls that fail out of the many I have tried.

http://images.apple.com/movies/fox/fant ... _h.480.mov
http://images.apple.com/movies/newline/ ... _h480p.mov

Is there a new format of .mov not supported yet by VLC?
Is this currently being worked on because others have already spotted/reported it?

Thanks,
-Tony
