Un-Install VLC

Postby Richard9632 » 20 Nov 2008 04:56

I downloaded the VLC Media Player 0.9.4 from the CNET site, and installed it. It did not work to my satisfaction. I use Windows 2000 Home Professional. I used Start, Control Settings, Add/Remove Programs to uninstall it. It did not remove some of the files. I tried to delete them individually but get an error message - 'Cannot delete (file name): access is denied. The source file may be in use'.There are 10 of these files, plus a Folder 'plugins' with 287 files in it. The ten files are like 'libfontconfig-1.dll'. They all have .dll extension. The files in the Folder also have .dll extensions. My question is: How can I get rid of these files? Your help would be greatly appreciated. My incident report number with CNET is :081119-000077.

You cannot uninstall files, if you are still running the program.
