I'm going back to version 1.0.0!

The latest release version of VLC player has had a few features added, but MANY features removed, and MANY bugs added!
Marquee text display is now COMPLETELY buggy and will not even display any text!
Directshow configuration (the config button beside the video input, and beside the audio input that let you configure the video and audio input drivers) no longer are present (you can select your video and audio sources, but NO CONFIGURATION is possible any more).
I could go on with the other dozen or so things that I've come to DEPEND ON and RELY ON in my use of VLC player that NO LONGER WORK or have even BEEN REMOVED! If you go back to version 2.0.8 things are better, but even that was buggy as heck when trying to select a font other than Arial in the marquee text display feature.

If you want a version of VLC player that works properly, go back to version 1.0.0, It's the ONLY version of VLC player that worked reliably in EVERYTHING that it did (and everything that I have come to depend on it doing).

I can only agree Videogamer555.
It is important to develop a program.
But, good things should not be thrown overboard.
