1. Operating System Windows 7 32 bit
2 Vlc version 1.0.5
3. Hardware: Intel X6800 Extreme Core 2 Proc 2.93 Ghz, 4 GB Corsair Ram, (2X) Nvidia GTX260 surperclock Video Cards in SLI, Creative X FI Extreme Gamer Sound Card
4. No overclocking is present
Situation:
1. I never had any problems with the version of VLC I was using before this one which was the last version before this one.
2. I double click on a video to watch which is an AVI file and an error msg comes on screen saying VLC has crashed. I select continue and
the video may or may not play
3. If it does play then very often it starts and stops or freezes and then I can't do anything.
4. I've had to manually restart or shut my computer down several times to return to normal computer operations and not even using VLC
5. Repeatabililty, the symptoms stated in 3 and 4 happen repeatedly. The movies I am trying to watch are movies captured using FRAPS
during gaming and many movies that I have on a hard drive separately from my boot drive (an internal 120 gb drive Western Digital) that
Smart drive reports as in good condition. I've been playing movies from this hard drive with the previous version of VLC without difficulty
for some time.
6. The movies I am referring to are mainly AVI or MPG file types.
7. Right now I'd just as soon go back to the last version before 1.0.5 so I could have a working player
