Outputting to projector nightmare

Postby datarunner » 29 Mar 2009 17:48

hi all

i do video presentations (.avi, .mov, .flv etc etc) via a laptop (xp) and output to a projector. now the problem that im having is that when playing to the projector from vlc the screen either goes black or works sometimes. sometimes it displays sometimes it doesnt - very random.

so does anyone have any ideas as to what causes this?

Try deactivating hardware video overlay. Its in the settings under video.

hi there

preferences > video > accelerated video output?
Yes. Or:
Tools >> Preferences... >> (Select "All" for "Show settings") >> Video >> Overlay video output

If that doesn't help try changing the video output module (restart VLC after change output module):
