Support for fonts.

Postby Chares » 20 Aug 2008 08:30

Hello. Where is option "support for fonts":

Code: Select all

{12505}{13501}:{f:Times New Roman}YOU ARE MY FRIEND {5510}{5583}{c:$7DAACD}{f:Arial}{s:24}Woha, PODOŁAM ZADANIU! {27951}{28033}{y:i}Oczywiście, że tak. {5006}{5075}{C:$FFFFCC}{F:Arial Black}{S:21}a teraz doświadczasz, czym jest ból.
This is a advanced text:

Code: Select all

{5006}{5075}{C:$FFFFCC}{F:Arial Black}{S:21} {27951}{28033}{y:i} {5510}{5583}{c:$7DAACD}{f:Arial}{s:24} 12505}{13501}:{f:Times New Roman}
So where is attendance advanced text ? Programme "AllPlayer" have attendance advanced text.

Not before 0.9.1, but it might take longer.

Why never ? Look: http://dobreprogramy.pl/index.php?dz=1& ... io+i+video - all video players have support for fonts, but only VLC haven't. And look to comments: http://dobreprogramy.pl/index.php?dz=19 ... #komentarz - many people belaud VLC, but grumble on support for fonts.Examples:
1.edek z fabryki kredek | IPHASH : TI-G0-QT-2Y | 05.07.2008, 14:44
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; pl; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
Obsługa napisów jest po prostu TRAGICZNA! Zawiodłem się na tym programie...
2.Arek | IPHASH : QV-3V-UP-K3 | 01.06.2008, 12:39
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) )
Wlasnie Darek ja mam ten sam problem wyswietlanie napisow jest totalnie beznadziejne-autor programu zaklada chyba ze program jest tylko dla anglojezycznych...).
So maybe next version add support for fonts. I don't know technology "support fonts".

Problem is that there aren't any specs for those. Subrip or MicroDVD don't originally support styling and those additions are unofficial. SSA and A SS subtitles do support fonts and styling and subtitle groups should use those, not some unofficial stuff.

If you create a good spec around here, I might do it.
