Hi,
as you can see in http://developers.videolan.org/vlc/NEWS this has been added in VLC 0.8.4

And how do I have to use it? I started the VLC with a UPNP device running in thesame network but nothing happened. (The Wiki seems to be down and the documentation doesn't tells me anything about that feature).

You have to enable UPnP in the Playlist Window, under Service Discovery.

UPnP support does not really work in 0.8.4. It should be more usable in 0.8.4a, but I don't know if it is enabled at all in the binaries. It is known to crash on MacOS X. I think it is only known to work on Linux so far.
