Full screen on one monitor only

Postby simonjudd » 19 Jul 2011 10:27

Hi there,

I am new to using VLC player and have what may be a simple question to ask.

I am using my iPad with my iMac as a second display through Air Display.
I have the VLC player on the iPad set to view on all spaces so that it stays there no matter what I am doing.

Is it possible to have the video I am watching in full screen without the main iMac monitor also going to full screen, so I can keep working whilst the film is playing?

Thanks in advance. :D

I'm not familiar with VLC on the iPad. However, in the desktop VLC version there's a checkbox called 'Black Screens in Fullscreen mode' under VLC-->Preferences...-->Video. Unchecking it should prevent the 'other' screen from going black when watching fullscreen.
Maybe this is of use to you?

Thanks crackstone,

That's worked.

It's not a VCL App on the iPad, I am using the iPad as a second monitor, so your advice was spot on.

:D
