Green flicker on wmv3 with 1.0 but not 0.9

Postby danpe » 04 Oct 2009 12:52

I'm trying to file a bug report somewhere, but not having much luck finding out where to post it. On my dual g5 with os x 10.5 I get green lines around the borders while playing .wmv-files on vlc 1.0 through 1.02. This does not appear on vlc 0.9. Trying to find where things got wrong I tried mplayer 1.0rc2 (works fine) and mplayer from svn (green lines). The common ground for wmv3 is ffmpeg (I think?), but when I built ffmpeg and converted a file from .wmv to .mpeg there where no such lines. I tried both vlc 0.5 and from svn.

So, what differs between vlc 1.02 and vlc 0.9.10 concerning wmv3 playback on ppc?

These are screengrabs from hotlabs_youtube_hq.wmv found on ftp://streams.videolan.org/streams-videolan/asf-wmv/, it is the only .wmv-file there that shows this issue.

Hi,
I have the same issue with vlc 1.0.2 on my ppc running leopard.
I noticed some wmv and some flv have exactly the same problem as in the pic shown above...
Any suggestions?

I'm having this exact same problem.

Anyone know a fix?
