Interlace setting not saved.

Postby themoose » 15 Oct 2008 19:43

Setting the default interlace mode in Preferences to e.g. 'mean', Save the preferences and quitting and opening VLC does not set the interlace mode to what I saved as preference!?
I am using v0.9.4

btw, except for this issue: PERFECT PROGRAM, thanks for all the work you guys put in it!

Setting a deinterlace mode != enabling the deinterlace filter.
Don't use PMs for support questions.

I have the same problem.
I enable deinterlace, I select a deinterlacing mode and it is not saved.

Was working in 0.8.6 doing the same way. I assume it is a bug in version 0.9.

Regards.

OK. What does it mean to set a deinterlace mode? What does it mean to enable a deinterlace filter? How do I set my default deinterlacing to "blend" on a Mac so that it stays that way for clip after clip?

Also, what is a PM?

Thanks.

Hamelbloom, in order to enable the Deinterlacing filter permanently, do the following:

Tools, Preferences
Change "Show settings" to "All" (lower left corner)
Open the Video Tree by clicking on the arrow left to "Video"
Click on Filters (Click on it, do not open the Tree)
Check "Deinterlacing video filter"
Click Save

Voila
