stops after one hour

Hi,

When i'm playing x264 1080p .mkv movies it stops after aprox one hour - anyone having the same problem and know what to do aboy it??

I have the same problem!
I've downloaded an older version of VLC 0.8.6
Now it works fine

the same with me. With me VLC stops at 1:59:59
i can`t view any movie longer than 2h.
waiting a fix from 9.0.2 and now 9.0.4 still got it (

It actually depends on the filesize.
You can fix it by going to Preferences->

Then choose in the left column: Input/Codecs -> Access modules -> MMap

Now deselect; "Use file memory mapping" and Save.
This will be fixed in 0.9.5 and later.
