Netsync with local video files

Postby DomBlink » 10 Oct 2008 18:47

I am trying to sync 3 mac minis each running local video files using netsync to synchronise across a local network. Has anybody actually managed to do this to any level of reliability and robustness. Ive scoured the forum but its not that clear if it actually works.

Ive followed recommendations but at best get no sync at all.

I am using mac OS X 10.5.3 with VLC 0.8.6i

Thanks in advance for any advice. It would be very useful to know if its worth pursuing.

Matter of fact, I have the same problem. I tried the netsync feature, but it does not seem to work. According to the definition of the module ("Use this module to keep several clients synchronised on a single VLC stream"), it does not work with files; only a single VLC stream.
