VLC 2.02 - Export/save to mp4 greyed out

I don't know whether this is an issue with Mac OSX only. In the past I have use VLC frequently to export/save .flv files to mp4 container which can be played using various media clients. I have used the streaming/exporting wizard for this and the .flv media files contained a H264 mpeg4 video and a mpeg aac audio stream. There is no need for new encoding and I only used the save to mp4 option to generate a new mp4 container. Starting from vlc 2.02 this option to save to mp4 is not longer available because it is greyed out (it worked with all past vlc versions for the last two years or so). Does anyone know whether I am missing any libraries or need to change certain settings to have this option available for vlc 2.02? I have tried this both for OSX 1.6.8 and 1.7.4 with the same result. By the way I still had an older version of vlc around 1.5.? and this still works.

I'll investigate this. A bit strange since we didn't change the feature set.

Thanks, I have reverted to VLC 2.0.1 on the MAC running 1.7.4 and the save to mp4 works fine.

Just confirming this with the 2.0.3 nightly as well.

Even if I set the transcode to MPEG-4 VIdeo and Audio, it's inactive but checked already. Other combos can occur as well. At one point I had a checked but inactive WAV selection.

I also have this issue on vlc 2.03. I don't know when it changed.

I am running snow leopard and vlc 2.03 64bit on a 2010 iMac.

I only have the encapsulation format options "mpeg ps" to "ASF", the top 6, all the others are greyed out, "mpeg 4 /mp4", "mov", "wav" and "ASFH"

+1 to this issue running VLC 2.0.4 on my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.2. I reverted back to VLC 2.0.1 to get the MPEG 4 encapsulation format to return. How do I get the WAV format to enable?
